BIOFILM, FLUOROSYNTHETIC AFFF FOAM CONCENTRATE EFFECTIVE ON HYDROCARBON FIRES

This product is no longer available.

BIOFILM is a high quality fluorosynthetic AFFF (Aqueous Film-Forming Foam) foam concentrate formulated with modern C6 fluorosurfactants, hydrocarbon surfactants and stabilisers. It gives high performance on class B hydrocarbon fires such as oil storage tank, refinery, manufacturing plant, aircraft, ship...

The AFFF film generating property (Aqueous Film Forming Foam) gives BIOFILMa fast extinguishing performance and excellent burnback resistance on hydrocarbon fires.

BIOFILM AFFF class B foam is approved by international standards such as EN1568, UL, LASTFIRE, ICAO, IMO.. BIOFILM Premium foams offers highest ratings.

BIOFILM AFFF foam concentrate is effective on class B
hydrocarbon flammable liquids fires such as fuel, diesel oil,
petrol, gasoline, kerosene, LNG..
AFFF film generating properties provide fast fire
extinguishment and good burnback resistance using direct
application.

BIOFILM AFFF produces an aqueous film forming above the fuel spreading quickly over the fuel, which forms a foam blanket sealing the fuel surface, blocks the oxygen supply and prevents the release of fuel vapor. This provide an immediate control over fire.

The foam blanket has low surface tension enables the aqueous film to float above fuel surface, which also provides a cooling effect and a long drainage time.

BIOFILM AFFF class B foam selected high performance latest C6 fluorosurfactants (short-chain), which are developed to have lessimpact on global environment than C8 luorosurfactants.
Our C6 AFFF foam is free of PFOA and PFOS (also named C8), fulfilling the US EPA Stewardship Programme 2010/15 and EU Directive 2017/1000.

BIOFILM C6 AFFF has been formulated for Class B hydrocarbon water non-miscible flammable liquids such as gasoline, petroleum, benzene, kerosene, oil, petrol.

BIOFILM foam is used in high-risk fire scenarios such as oil storage tanks, refineries, petrochemical processing facilities, loading racks, power stations, offshore platforms, aircraft hangar, ships...

Due to its excellent wetting properties and versatility BIOFILM firefighting foam concentrate can also be usedin municipal fire departments to put out class A fires.

BIOFILM AFFF can be used in direct application onto the fuel surface.
